Track I've been working on for a while now. I'm finally posting it and it means a lot to me. I really hope everyone gets to listen to it. It might make you cry (just a warning).

Under the well-lit night skies of a city, a monster contemplates his existence. There is no fear in his heart and also no courage. No hate for anyone yet, not even tiniest ounce of love dwells in the place where his heart may be.

He is longing for the day to meet himself. For he knows no one else. Only his hands know what it is to unite. They grasp tight and initiate hope for his being. His head bowed and knees bent. Time with him no none ever spent.

He dreams of the flashy lights, the hazy voices of the crowds cheering for him. Pull the lever and watch the slots spin...and...spin...and spin. First one stops. The second stops. Third one stops....
The lights flash like fireworks to the sounds that cue for a jackpot. He awakens.

The monster sits up at the edge of the curb. The lights dim and the sounds go away. The crowds disperse and go on their way.

Head bowed and knees bent. He prays for another day, another dream that will temporarily take the pain way. His life is but the happiness he dreams and the reality of them tore at the seams.

The monster weeps as he says his prayer in a tongue no one can interpret. His eyes empty and sly like the serpent. Only one god answers him but, true happiness he will not grant to him.

And the monster lives.
