I was walking home in third grade, after a great day with my best friend sammy the salamander. It was raining and we both enjoyed it, I had just stomped in a puddle when i reached for sammy..........

"He isn;t there." I said in a very sorrowful voice.
I looked on the ground to see my slimy red friend swimming in the puddle, I reached again to pick him up. He swam away again, and again. Till finally I jump for him and he slides into a small hole......
...
I had lost my best friend. I sat down on the wet grass and sobbed, I cried for hours it felt like. My mother found me sitting down on the side walk of the rainy day and picked me up, so told her everything. She held me as i cried and we went home.
