Castle Reminiscence created by AceOfSpace 11 years ago
The first memories of this reminiscence is about the castle at its peak of glory. The summer days were pure and utter bliss and all was well. However, a there were dark omens that indicated that the happiness of the land was soon to be obliterated. No one took heed to of the advice given to them.
Then, winter came. No crops had been been stored, no wood had been chopped down. Between the numbing cold and hunger, the people thought there was nothing worse. They quickly proved that theory to be wrong.
The people began to fight amongst themselves, fearing only for their survival and their willingness to bring others down grew stronger. Selfishness and corruption grew amongst the strong as the weak nurtured their hatred and hostility. Within the poverty ridden country were thousands of bodies nestled within the snow and iced over water.
The people blamed those in charge and took over the castle, leaving it in ruins. After finding absolutely nothing in the castle to prolong their life, the remaining survivors fled to a more hopeful future. Eventually, the castle slowly withered away, taking its memories with it. All that was left were a few trees, a pile of rubble, and a sunset that disappeared into the horizon.
