Hypnotic Eyes

Her eyes are where the melting sky
drips into the sea
and delicate hues bend the rainbow
splashing her secrets
into an eternity of apathy
from those who would not care
But I have caught them in her gaze.

I am mesmerized
my eyes powerless to look away
immobilized
captured willingly in chains of want

while time loses significance
as well as everything else
that I drift upon
within this ethereal corridor between us.
